In 2022, Mexico's domestic consumption of wheat reached 7.8 million metric tons, representing an increase of five percent compared to the previous ear. For 2023, it was expected that the consumption volume of wheat would reach 7.9 million metric tons. That year, Mexico was the second leading consumer of wheat in Latin America and the Caribbean, after Brazil.
