Annual value of incoming personal remittances in Bangladesh 2001-2023
The personal remittances received in Bangladesh increased by more than 660 million U.S. dollars (+3.1 percent) in 2023. With roughly 22 billion U.S. dollars, the personal remittances received thereby reached one of their highest levels in the observed period. Remittances are flows of money between immigrants and their relatives. They refer to personal transfers between resident and nonresident individuals, and the compensation of employees who are employed in an economy where they are not resident, and of residents employed by nonresident entities.
