Top bottled water brand market share in China 2018
In 2018, Nongfu Spring had a market share of over 26 percent, an increase of seven percentage points since 2016. Its closest competitors were C'estbon with 21.3 percent market share and Ganten with 10.1 percent. The bottled water market in China was one of the biggest in the world. In 2019, the sales volume reached 200 million tons and a sales value of 208.4 billion yuan. Even though the market was dominated by domestic brands, multinational beverage corporations introduced their Chinese brands. For example, the brand Ice Dew was owned by Coca Cola.
