Median venture capital deal size in Europe 2010-2023, by stage
The median venture capital (VC) deal size in Europe for all stages increased between 2010 and 2023, with some fluctuation. Later-stage capital investment had the highest median deal size for all years included. From 2018 to 2021, the median amount of later-stage capital investment doubled, reaching 6.9 million U.S. dollars as of the end of 2021. In the fourth quarter of 2023, this figure had decreased to 3.7 million U.S. dollars, which represents the largest median amount of VC invested among all other stages.
