In 2018, the sales volume of packaged sweet biscuits, snack bars, and fruit snacks in Japan amounted to almost 285 thousand tons, a record high within the surveyed time period. After reaching a record low of about 260 thousand tons in 2013, the sales of packed biscuits and snack bars increased steadily.
