This statistic shows the market share of the leading crowdfunding platforms in the Netherlands in 2019, based on the investment value. Crowdfunding involves the investments with or lending of relatively small amounts of money by a large group of investors to private individuals or companies. Usually, this happens through an online platform. In 2019, two platforms together reached a market share of approximately 25 percent: Collin Crowdfund and Geldvoorelkaar. In 2017, approximately 19 percent of all crowdfunding projects in the Netherlands were for the catering sector.
