Since February 2022, the monthly cost of the TV broadcasting services for matches of the highest professional soccer league in Argentina amounted to over one thousand Argentine pesos per month. This was the third increase in the fee for that TV package —known as ''Pack Fútbol''— since December 2020.
This pay-TV service came about in 2017 after the Argentine government canceled the contract with the Argentine Football Association (AFA) for the TV broadcasting rights of its soccer championships on public channels.
