This statistic represents the results of a survey conducted annually among Taiwanese people from 2007 to 2017 about their opinion on cross-strait relations. The survey revealed that in 2017, 2.2 percent of the respondents were strongly pro-unification with mainland China.

In this survey series, the annual number of the respondents varied from 13,163 to 23,779.
During the survey, the respondents had to choose one of the proposed actions to support: unification as soon as possible; maintain status quo and move towards unification; maintain status quo and decide later; maintains status quo indefinitely; maintain status quo and move towards independence; independence as soon as possible.
