Netflix is forecast to have close to seven million subscribers in Africa by the end of 2029, and thus, it is by far the most popular SVOD platform on the continent. Showmax is expected to be the second most popular SVOD service in Africa, with a projected number of subscribers of around 3.7 million in 2029.
