This statistic shows the total B2C e-commerce revenue in Belgium from 2013 to 2017 with a forecast for 2018 (in billion euros). In 2017, online shopping in Belgium reached a value of approximately 10.52 billion euros. This is roughly the same number reported in another source. For the Belgian e-commerce market, two separate reports publish statistics but they have different methodologies.
Within the Benelux region, Belgium's e-commerce sector is not yet as developed as the sector in the Netherlands. BeCommerce, Belgium's e-commerce association, mentions for example that e-commerce is "ten times larger" in the Netherlands than it is in Belgium. It is growing rapidly, however. In 2016, Amazon was the largest online retailer in Belgium with a revenue of approximately 288 million euros.
