Investment activity in the real estate investment sector in Germany slowed for all property types in 2022 and 2023. As of January 2024, the 12-month value of investment in the office market measured 4.7 billion euros, down from 32.7 billion euros in April 2022. The multifamily residential also experienced notable fluctuations, with the 12-month investment value falling to 7.1 billion euros in January 2024 from 54.2 billion euros in January 2022.
