Breakdown of hotel real estate investments in Germany 2023, by buyer group

The majority of hotel real estate investments in Germany came from listed real estate companies and REITs in 2023. Investment or asset managers were the second most active buyer group, with 23.3 percent of capital allocated in the sector during that year. Meanwhile, the public sector had the smallest share of investments, amounting to 3.4 percent.
