In 2023, the import value of integrated circuits in China was 350 billion U.S. dollars. As of October 2024, the import value was already lower in a year-on-year comparison. China heavily relied on imported integrated circuits, however the increasing localization of the supply chain and the sanctions from the United States impacted the trade volume of computer chips.
