According to data provided by Deloitte, nearly half of the smartphone owners in Belgium check their bank balances on a smartphone while another 27 percent of the respondents used their smartphone to transfer money to another individual in the same country. In 2016, there were roughly 4.5 million mobile banking subscriptions in Belgium.
