Share of overdue mortgage loans in Russia Q1 2015 to Q4 2016, by currency

This survey illustrates the total share of overdue mortgage loans to the total loans portfolio in Russia from the first quarter of 2015 to the fourth quarter of 2016, by currency. It can be seen that the share of overdue loans in Russian rubles in increased slightly during the period observed. In the first quarter of 2015 the share of overdue mortgage loans amounted to 0.9 percent, by the fourth quarter of 2016 this had increased to 1.1 percent of the entire loans market.

Foreign currency mortgage loans that were overdue on the other increased to 31.3 percent as of the fourth quarter of 2016. This could be due to the fact that the amount in foreign currency mortgage lending has decreased significantly over the same time period.
