In 2023, out of all 288 movie theaters operating in the Netherlands, 60 were in the province of North Holland. South Holland and North Brabant were home to 46 and 43 cinemas, respectively, thus accounting for around 16 and 14 percent of the total. The number of movies theatrically released in the Netherlands declined by 40 percent between 2019 and 2021.
