The annual revenue generated by printed educational book publishing in the Netherlands was consistently higher than that of digital educational books. As of 2018, the annual revenue of printed educational book publishing was over 325 million euros, whereas that of the digital book market was roughly 77 million euros. However between 2012 and 2017, the annual revenue of printed books declined whilst that of digital books increased and this trend was forecast to continue between 2019 and 2023.
