The packaging segment accounted for the largest share of plastics converter demand in the Europe (EU27+3) in 2022, at 39 percent. The building and construction sector represented the second-largest end-use market for plastic convertors that year, with a share of 23 percent.

Polymers that are not used in the conversion of plastic parts and products (i.e. for textiles, adhesives, sealants, coatings, etc.) are not included.
