During the measured time period, around 46 percent of respondents stated that they believed doing business had become easier as of the fourth year of the Modi ministry being in power.

Respondents include citizens from over 250 districts in India. Not all respondents answered the question.

Note: The original survey question was phrased as follows: "Do you believe doing business has become easier in the last 4 years?".
The survey is in reference to the government formed after the 2014 general elections, which is the 16th Lok Sabha. The legislative term is five years long. The next elections are scheduled to be held in 2019.
