This statistic displays the results of a survey regarding the public opinion on whether the safety of women and children has increased following the 2014 general elections across India as of May 2018. During the measured time period, around 58 percent of respondents stated that they did not believe crimes against women and children had reduced as of the fourth year of the Modi ministry being in power.

Respondents include citizens from over 250 districts in India. Not all respondents answered the question.

Note: The original survey question was phrased as follows: "Do you feel crimes against women and children have reduced in the last 4 years?".
The survey is in reference to the government formed after the 2014 general elections, which is the 16th Lok Sabha. The legislative term is five years long. The next elections are scheduled to be held in 2019.
