This statistic shows the results of a 2018 survey which asked young people in the European Union who had studied, trained or worked in another country what they thought were the main benefits of their experience. 57 percent of respondents thought that improving language skills was one of the main benefits of their experience, compared with 17 percent who thought that it gave them a fresh outlook on work or studies.
