Hotel chains and cooperations with central reservation systems (CRS) represented 17.6 percent of overnight bookings in Norway that year. Direct bookings, such as emails or via phone each had a share of about 14 percent of bookings. Online booking agencies (such as Booking.com and Expedia) represented 12.4 percent of hotel bookings made in Norway in 2015.
