Norwegians preferred to use YouTube on mobile phones according to a survey conducted in 2019. In fact, the results show that this device was preferred by 70 percent of the respondents. The second most used device for YouTube was the computer, used by 66 percent of Norwegians. Furthermore, Norwegians seemed to have used the platform for different purposes. The most common one was without a doubt entertainment, according to over 90 percent of the respondents to a survey conducted in the third quarter of 2019. Moreover, 13 percent of the Norwegians used YouTube as a news source.

 Who has the most subscribers in Norway?

     Alan Walker, a DJ and record producer, had the YouTube channel with the highest number of subscribers in Norway: over 30 million as of April 2019. The second most subscribed-to YouTube channel in the evaluated period was SaraBeautyCorner, focused on DIY, comedy, and makeup, with 10.5 million subscribers.

 YouTube worldwide

     At the end of 2018, the majority of content on YouTube worldwide was focused on people and blogs. Gaming was the second most popular YouTube video content, followed by entertainment. Also, only five percent of the YouTube content globally was music.
