The coronavirus pandemic can be seen in the annual change in the harmonized index of consumer prices (HICP) in Belgium. While the HICP grew by approximately 0.4 percent in 2020, this index was expected to fall to an increase of 2.7 percent in 2021. Nonetheless, it was forecast that the HICP would grow by 2.3 percent in the following year, and 1.6 percent in the year after that.
