Since the 1992 presidential election when George Bush ran against Bill Clinton, a higher share of women have supported the Democratic candidate. In the 2020 election, 57 percent of women are thought to have voted for Joe Biden, a Democrat, while 42 percent voted for Donald Trump, a Republican..
