According to a survey conducted in 2017 in Italy, 55.2 percent of the respondents declared to adopt a healthy nutrition to tackle gastro-intestinal problems. This was in fact the most common remedy to tackle gastro-intestinal aliments. In addition, 44.4 percent of Italians stated to resort to self-medication drugs, when dealing with this kind of health issues. Lastly, 27.5 percent of respondents indicated infusions or soups as remedies for gastro-intestinal disorders.
