This statistic illustrates the number of small or medium enterprises (SMEs) active in the real estate, professional services and support activity industry in Great Britain (GB) as of December 2011 to December 2017. This statistic covers enterprises that are considered either small or medium companies that have a business account with one of the UK's leading high street banks. As can be seen the number of active Small enterprises has stayed fairly consistent over the time period displayed, although there has been a some what significant decrease in the number of medium sized enterprises in this industry. The number of medium sized active real estate, professional services and support activity enterprises decreased from approximately 116.1 thousand as of December 2011 to 77 thousand as of December 2017.

The source added the following information "Series referred to as 'GB' data reflect the SME business of Barclays, Clydesdale/Yorkshire banks, The Co-operative Bank, Lloyds Banking Group, HSBC Bank,RBS Group and Santander UK.

Small enterprises comprise of between 1 and 50 employees and have an annual turnover of under ten million euros.
Medium enterprises consist of between 50 and 250 employees and has an annual turnover between ten and 50 million euros.
