Share of pay TV and SVOD households in the U.S. 2022
According to the results of a survey held in the United States in 2022, nearly 30 percent of households in the country paid for both an MVPD service and an SVOD service. Whilst the number of non-pay TV households has been steadily increasing over the years, the number of subscribers to SVOD services has continually grown not only in the United States but also on a global scale. Over one in three households subscribed to a streaming service only, while the share of only MVPD users was 21 percent.
