As of 2022, the total assets of banking corporations in the United Kingdom were the highest of the observed European countries, with almost 16.9 trillion U.S. dollars. France and Germany finished the top three countries in Europe for total banking sector assets in 2022, with approximately 12.04 trillion U.S. dollars and 11.31 trillion U.S. dollars, respectively.
