As of March 2022, original and exclusive content accounted for the highest share of Netflix's catalog. That year, 35.9 percent were originals, while 14.8 percent were exclusive TV shows and movies. In the past years, the share of original-branded titles available on Netflix steadily increased. By contrast, in March 2016, this kind of content only made up around three percent of the total content available on the streaming service.
