This statistic shows the average hours worked per week - excluding on-call duties - by physicians in Canada from in 2017, by gender and broad specialty. The data is based on the workforce survey conducted by the Canadian Medical Association. Weekly average working hours for all female physicians stood at 48.1 hours compared to an average of 52.2 hours for all male physicians.
