Distribution of men employed in Japan 2018, by status
According to a survey from 2018 that investigated the male employee composition in Japan, about 78 percent of men were regular staff and close to 12 percent were part-time workers. A comparison with the female employee composition showed that a considerably higher proportion of women were part-time workers.
