Distribution of women employed in Japan 2018, by status
According to a survey from 2018 that investigated the female employee composition in Japan, more than 44 percent of women were part-time workers and a slightly lower share of women were regular staff. A comparison with the male employee composition showed that a considerably higher proportion of men were regular staff.
