This statistic has been compiled using data taken from the individual annual reports published by the leading banks in Turkey (by total assets).
The sources provided the following information: * TL 248,5 million in full TL amount of the Bank's non-performing loan portfolio has been sold to Girişim Varlık Yönetimi A.Ş. at a price of TL 40,3 million in full TL amount. Specific provision previously allocated for this amount, is shown under “Write-off”
** "The Parent Bank writes off the receivables from its records with the actualized circumstances of deaths of the debtor and/or the related people, refusals of the heritage by the heritors within the legal time limits, becoming legally and effectively impossible of the collection of the receivable, and the given financial accountability decision on the related personnel of the considered receivable."
*** "The Bank’s general policy for write-offs of loans and receivables under follow-up is to write of such loans and
receivables that are proven to be uncollectible in legal follow-up process."
