This graph shows the total number of mosquito-borne disease cases reported in the U.S. from 2004 to 2018. In the year 2004, there were 4,858 reported mosquito-borne disease cases, while there were 5,847 such cases in 2018.

The sharp increase in the number of mosquito-borne diseases seen in 2016 is due to the inclusion of the number of Zika virus cases, which were not notifiable in previous years.
