This statistic displays the result of a survey on the favored accommodation types by domestic and international leisure travelers in Norway in 2019. Both domestic and international travelers favored hotels the most, with a share of 35 and 54 percent of respondents each. Staying with family and friends was the second most common type of accommodation for both groups. In detail, 29 percent of the Norwegian tourists and 15 percent of the international tourists had stayed with someone they knew during their trip to Norway.
