Most streamed Avicii songs on Spotify in Sweden in April 2018, by number of streams
After it was announced that the Swedish producer and DJ Avicii was found dead on April 20, 2018, the number of streams of his songs on the online music service Spotify increased in Sweden. ‘Without you’ (feat. Sandro Cavazza) was the most listened one on that day in the Nordic country, with nearly 173 thousand streams. Radio edit of ‘Wake me up’ came in second place and reached first place four days later with 407,703 streams.

The figures in the ranking refers to daily streams of Avicii’s songs in the top 200 of Spotify charts on the respective days, only in Sweden. Compared to daily streams worldwide ‘Wake me up’ was the most listened song on Spotify for all five days after Avicii’s death.

Avicii, named Tim Bergling, was born in 1989 in Stockholm and was one of the highest paid DJs worldwide. In 2014, he earned 28 million U.S. dollars. He founded the company Avicii Holding AB which has subsidiary companies in Sweden, Germany and Switzerland. According to the concern, it generated revenues of roughly 46 million Swedish kronor as of 2017.
Avicii passed away at the age of 28 in Oman. Posthumously the family will release the album he worked on it before his death, with the name ‘TIM’.
