This statistic displays the number of knife possession offences, resulting in immediate custody in England and Wales from October 2010 to September 2017. Whilst the number of knife possession offences, resulting in immediate custody fluctuated during the period observed, the trend was generally one of increase. In 2010 the incidences of immediate custody amounted to 5,224, by 2017 the incidences of immediate custody had increased to 6,810.
