Sparkling wine sales volume in Italy Q4 2017-Q3 2020, by type

Between 2017 and 2020, the quarterly sales volume of sparkling wine in Italy varied considerably according to wine type. The volume of dry charmat peaked in the fourth quarter of 2019 at 193 thousand hectoliters, while in the fourth quarter of 2017 the highest amount of traditional sparkling and charmat sweet wine was produced, with 38.4 and 73.3 thousand hectoliters, respectively.
