The statistic displays the number of outlets within the catering industry in Belgium in 2017, by sector. The volume of foodservice outlets within the various sectors within the catering industry was roughly 11,000 combined. The number of foodservice outlets in the education sector exceeded the outlet volume in businesses and industries, in care facilities and in government and non-profit organizations. In 2017, there were roughly 6,500 foodservice outlets in the education sector whereas there were roughly one hundred such outlets in the government and non-profit sector.
