This statistic presents the results of a survey on the share of consumers in the United Kingdom that order from a restaurant each month versus the share that order from traditional takeaway outlets. The results are broken down by under 40 and over 40 year olds. As of 2017, traditional takeaways were still the more popular option, with 81 percent of under 40s ordering a takeaway each month compared to 56 percent ordering from a restaurant.
