Mexico was the main recipient of business travel spending by international U.S. travelers in 2020, accounting for almost one third of the total expenditures. The United Kingdom ranked second, with 6.4 percent of the total U.S. outbound business spending. Regarding U.S. short-term workers traveling abroad, nonetheless, Canada took the lead that year.
