Standard Life reported a massive mean pay gap of 47 percent between men and women. This meant that on for every one British pound that men earned, women earned 53 pence.

The source added the following information for methodology. "The mean hourly rate is the average hourly wage across the entire organization so the mean gender pay gap is a measure of the difference between women’s mean hourly wage and men’s mean hourly wage."
