Park Geun-hye served as the 11th president of South Korea from February 25, 2013 to March 10, 2017. During the office years, Park was accused of charges such as abuse of power, extortion, bribery, and the leaking of government confidential information, which led her to be impeached by the National Assembly on December 9, 2016.
