In 2020, the number of bus passengers in South Korea amounted to approximately 4.1 billion, showing a decrease from around six billion in the previous year. This was largely due to the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic in the country that year. The highest bus passenger figure was recorded during the past decade was in 2015.
