This statistic illustrates the distribution of urban trips made in Italy in 2017, by motivation. According to the study, trips made during leisure time made up approximately 42 percent of the total number of urban trips made by the Italian population. By contrast, the share of urban trips made for work or study purposes was 27.1 percent.
