In 2023, the distribution of women and men employed by Santander UK Group in the United Kingdom (UK) varied greatly across different pay quartiles. In fact, women comprised a far higher percentage of employees at the lowest pay quartiles (65.1 percent in the fourth quartile and 68.9 percent in the third quartile). On the other hand, women accounted for less than 40 percent of the bank's employees in the top quartile.

Looking at the proportion of women in each quartile gives an indication of women's representation at different levels of the organization."
