This statistic shows the distribution of eSports viewers in the Netherlands in 2017, by age group. As of 2017, around 70 percent of the eSports viewers were between the age of 18 to 44 years old, whereas almost five percent were aged 13 to 17 years old. Looking at the eSports market revenue worldwide, it grew from approximately 130 million in 2012 to 655 million U.S. dollars in 2017. It is forecasted that this number will grow to roughly 1.6 billion U.S. dollars by 2021.
