Male alcohol consumption in Italy 2022, by type of beverage

Over the course of 2022, over 77 percent of the male population over 11 years of age in Italy consumed some kind of alcoholic beverage at least once. Breaking down this figure by type of beverage, wine proved to be the most popular drink, with 65.1 percent of men consuming wine at least once over the previous 12 months, while the share of male individuals who drank beer at least once in 2022 was almost 64 percent.
