The sales value of rods, bars and wires made from copper in the non-ferrous metal industry in Japan increased by one billion yen (+2.89 percent) in 2023 in comparison to the previous year. While the growth in this industry is slowing down, with 35.6 billion yen, the sales value is at its peak in the observed period.
The sales value is the contract price of producer's selling price. The source defines sales as shipments of products that are directly sold to distributors or consumer enterprises, as well as products shipped to headquarters, sales offices, relay points, and factories of the same enterprise producing items of a different group. In the case of commissioned products, it refers to shipments to consigners that are sales dealers (including consumers).
